OUR STORY
As a former contractor to the official Green Acres Little League Summer Camp, I spent over 30 years helping to maintain its beautiful grounds. I always dreamed of owning it one day and when it sold I thought my chances were over. Then, unexpectedly, the opportunity arose to purchase the camp and 2 of its dwellings along with 42 acres of the former camp. The camp encompasses 9 cabins, a banquet hall, shower room, nurses station, pavilion, pool (summer, 23), and their main Little League game field.
With Connie by my side, we decided to make both of our dreams come true! Connie brings her passion for giving back to the community and I want to preserve what I had lovingly cared for over the past 30 years Andy & Connie.
THE CAMP
Our camp will boast a host of amenities, activities, and accommodations. We are lovingly remodeling 8 original cabins to include fully equipped kitchens and 3/4 baths. We are also renovating the former nurse’s station and the director’s cabin. In addition to the cabins, we are adding 15 RV sites, 25 pull-through wooded RV sites, 15 tent sites and 10 glamping tent sites. In the large pavilion we will be adding a stone fireplace and game tables. We will have a fully stocked camp store for your convenience! We will be removing the current pool and adding a new pool for the summer of 2023! It will be open to the local communities as a public pool with yearly memberships. We even have a park as well! Sullivan County is adding a public boat launch for locals, vacationers, and our guests to access the Loyalsock River via Elk Creek. Bring your own canoe or kayak or rent one locally at the McCarty Mercantile!
