ACTIVITIES
At Elk Creek Escape we have something for everyone!
Come take dip your feet in the creek, cast your pole into the river, play a little baseball, or just take the kids to the park. There are so many things you can do at our campground that you will be happy to just relax and tell stories around the campfire!
BASEBALL ANYONE?
The baseball field is one of the untouched things from the days of the Green Acres Little League Summer Camp. This is a great place to just throw the ball with the kids, play a game with a group, or just to sit an imagine the camp alive with boys trying to improve their batting, catching or even their pitch as they participated in America’s Favorite Pastime.
FISHING!
Whether you are new to fishing or a pro, you will find fishing Elk Creek or the Loyalsock River a peaceful place to cast your line!
EXPLORE THE AREA!
There's so much to explore in the Endless Mountains of PA! We are close to World's End and Rickets Glen State Parks. World's End is the closets boasts trails, a swimming area, and lots of places to enjoy a picnic by the river. Rickets Glen offers hiking trails to view their 22 waterfalls or just relax on the beach at Lake Gene.
We have several great vistas a short distance away. But, the most notable is High Knob Overlook. You can actually see the vista from the ground at Elk Creek Escape.
Look to try some local food? McCarty Mercantile has the best breakfast in the area! While you are there, grab yourself some local art.
High Knob Inn is just down the road and is great for wings, cheesesteaks, and even a great prime rib and if you're lucky, you might see the Bald Eagles nesting nearby. Just north of us is the Forksville Inn and Forksville General Store! Both will leave you totally satisfied!
Looking for a day trip? Don't forget we are just 33 miles from the World of Little League Museum. This is where they host the Little League World Series!
